cornerstone

cor·ner·stone/ˈkôrnərˌstōn/

Noun:
  1. A stone that forms the base of a corner of a building, joining two walls.
  2. An important quality or feature on which a particular thing depends or is based.
“For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ” (1 Cor. 3:11). Jesus Christ is God’s foundation stone, and capstone, for mankind and the universe. Let us build our lives upon him, and help others to do the same.

I traveled to richmond today for work.  Two songs played over and over in my head the whole way down and back.  one was cornerstone by hillsong.  The other was I surrender by the same band.  I was lost in worship the whole way there and back.  People probably wondered why i was driving along with my free hand held high.  several times i could feel him there in the passenger seat beside me.

Lord you are my cornerstone.  I am weak by myself, but with you lord i am unbreakable.  Even though the sea is at times stormy, i know you will never leave me...never forsake me.  You are my anchor and refuge.  I draw near to you, all i am is yours!!

amen
